Olympic Album Release Ceremony
Today I held a press conference at the Olympic Park for the release of my Olympic album. I arrived at the release ceremony venue and the layout on the second floor was absolutely beautiful; they had an arrangement of porcelain displayed on white. Have a look at these porcelain items - I think they’re so lovely and beautiful. As soon as I saw them, I immediately took some photos so I could share them with you.
I even managed to take a so-called “impossible” photo. This is actually a photo
of me standing on a picture that was drawn on the ground. The skill and quality of this
artwork is extremely detailed and lively; it’s very three dimensional and it
stands out just like the real thing:

I made my entrance into the ceremony riding on a rickshaw and the people
pulling the rickshaws were all dressed up as bronze men. I thought this idea
was very interesting and refreshing.
This album I’m promoting is one of only two officially approved Olympic albums allowed
to be released, and I didn’t know that I was the only male artist authorized to
release a solo Olympic album. I’ve also realized that since the start of relief
efforts and reconstruction work for
Wang Pingjiu also attended the release ceremony today. He is the one who wrote
the lyrics for Shēngsǐ Bù Lí (Never
Leave You) and Xiāngxìn Zìjǐ (Believe in
Yourself). I then sang Lóng De Mèngxiǎng (Dragon’s Dream) at the ceremony, and here is a translation
of the lyrics:

I feel very happy because I found out that 100,000 copies of my album were sold
on the first day of release, and from what I’ve heard some staff workers say,
this is the greatest number of (new release) album sales in the past three
years. I am absolutely overjoyed. I have to take this opportunity and say a
heartfelt thank you to all my supporters. Actually, I know that everyone didn’t
buy my album because I’m a good singer, I believe that everyone bought my album
to support the Olympic Games and also support charity because all profits from
the sales of my album will be used towards charity work.
Ah! I also took a few other photos so I could introduce some things to you; if
I stick them all together, it’s a panoramic picture. The square building in the
photo is the Science and Technology
Museum. The area where you see a lot of tents is the security check point entrance for
when the opening ceremony takes place.

The place where you see a few cars parked outside is the checker’s room - everyone who goes through there has to have their identity cards and work identification checked.
Did you notice that I wasn’t wearing my traditional Chinese clothes? Today I
wore a custom made track suit that I especially designed myself. Printed on the
front of the white top are designs of a colorful bird and the five Olympic
rings, and printed on the side of the track pants using characters of Chinese
calligraphy that look like traditional ink paintings are the words “Peace” and
“Friendship.” I especially had these tracksuits custom made for the Beijing
Olympic Games and there are total of 101 sets. Each tracksuit has a slightly
different design with different Chinese characters on them. After the end of
the Olympic Games, I will auction off these tracksuits at a suitable time and
donate all the funds for the use of public welfare projects.
Tomorrow is the day of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony and right
now I’m feeling nervous but I’m also in a very excited mood. Even though I feel
this way, I will go to bed early and get a good night’s rest so I can be well
prepared for tomorrow. Goodnight everyone!

奥运专辑发布会：
今天我到达奥运村举行我的奥运专辑发布会。
我来到发布会二楼，布置得很漂亮，采用了陶瓷的颜色和白色，你们看看这些陶瓷，真的很美、很可爱，我看到马上把它拍下来，跟大家分享一下。
我还拍了一张所谓‘不可能’的照片，其实这是一张画在地上的画，画功非常细致生动，非常立体，像真的一样。在场馆内，还有些高科技的小玩意，你们看看：
最后，我坐着人力车出场，拉着车出来的全是铜人打扮，很有趣，很有新意。
这一次发布的专辑是唯一一张官方批准推出的奥运专辑，我也不知道我是唯一一位批准的男艺人出这一张专辑。还有，原来自四川赈灾到重建，以至奥运会，我已经唱了十支歌曲了，分别是‘We Are Ready’、‘中国看见’、‘少年强’、‘北京欢迎你’、‘打开天空’、‘生死不离’、‘承诺’、‘相信自己’、‘站起来’和‘龙的梦想’。
今天王平久都有出席发布会，他是‘生死不离’和‘相信自己’的作词人。然后，我就唱了‘龙的梦想’，歌词如下：

很高兴知道今天开盘就卖了十万张专辑，听工作人员说，这是近三年来卖得最多专辑的艺人，真的很高兴，我要感谢所有支持我的人。其实，我知道大家不是因为我唱得好听而买我的专辑，相信大家都是支持奥运，还有支持慈善才买我的专辑，因为专辑的收益会拨作慈善用途。
啊！我拍了这几张照片介绍给大家看，连起来是一个全景照。这个四方建筑物是科技馆，停泊了几辆车的地方就是核对室，每一个人进去都要核对身份证和工作证。有很多帐篷的一边就是奥运开幕时的检查入口。
大家有没有留意我没有穿唐装呢？今天我穿着自己特制的运动服，白色上衣正面印有彩色祥鸟和五环的图案，裤腿上泼墨似的印着‘和平’、‘友爱’的中文书法字样。这是我为北京奥运会特意定制的，总共有101套，每套衣服的中文字样都有所不同，奥运会后这些衣服会在恰当时机被拍卖，拍卖所得会投入公益事业。
明天就是2008年北京奥运开幕日期，现在的心情既紧张又兴奋，虽然如此，我也会早点上床睡觉，为明天做好准备，大家晚安！
